DESCRIPTION:Age:\nDouble bassists of all nationalities\, born after January 1\, 1983 \nDeadline:\nApril 1\, 2018 \nPrizes:\n1st prize € 8.500\,- \ndonated by Sparkassen Stiftung Mecklenburg Schwerin \n2nd prize € 4.500\,-\ndonated by Oscar und Vera Ritter-Stiftung Hamburg \n3rd prize € 2.500\,-\ndonated by Lions Club Ludwigslust \nAdditional Info:\n\nThe competition is carried out in 4 rounds. All rounds are open to the public.\nThe order in which candidates will perform is determined by the drawing of lots. The order will remain binding until the end of the competition.\nEach candidate must personally check his/her scheduled performance times\, and be present 30 minutes prior to the beginning of these times at the designated performance venue.\nCandidates must bring their own sheet music\, including all piano parts. Photocopies may not be used.\nTuning: Up to the semifinal round\, all common tuning systems are permitted. The final round must be performed in solo tuning.\nThe final round must be performed from memory.\nThe jury is entitled to stop the performance before its end.\nThe decisions of the jury are incontestable.\nThe organiser will record and broadcast the entire competition. By entering the competition\, participants waive their artists´rights\, in favour of the organiser\, to all audio and visual recordings and their subsequent publication (CD\, DVD\, internet live-stream or other media). Participants will not receive any compensation on account of their performances or any resulting recordings or broadcasts.\nThe organiser especially reserves the right to allow radio and television stations to transmit live\, record and broadcast all parts of the competition.\nAny use of audio\, video or photographic material by a third party requires the authorization of the organizer.\n\n
